Jo\u00eblle Fabre-Hoffmeister, General Secretary of the Chargeurs Group, gives us her vision of innovation within the Group:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n \"The cult of innovation is so strong in our societies that no-one would dream of uttering a word against the concept. But like many widely-used concepts, innovation needs to be questioned: what do we really mean by innovation? What does it really mean to innovate? The Latin etymology refers to \"change, new\", preceded by the prefix \"in\", which indicates an inward movement. So there's nothing technical about this definition, which resolutely opens the door to a new way of looking at the obvious. And yet, for most of us, innovation rhymes with scientific research, artificial intelligence, technical discovery...<\/p>\n In fact, innovation concerns all areas of life, including the workplace, and calls for us to think \"out of the box\" when considering the stages to come. Now that the Covid 19 pandemic has turned all our reference points upside down, we have a tremendous opportunity to make innovation an integral part of everything we do. A number of books illustrate this perfectly. Among the recent books I would recommend, \"The Passion Economy\" by Adam Davidson, explores the successful experiences of entrepreneurs who have radically changed their professional projects, and their lives, because they dared to change their approach from their first professional years. Their secret? Daring to give voice to their passion, to what they knew best, and working to extract the added value, the 'substance', by challenging established ideas.\u00a0<\/p>\n An inspiring account, which could lead us to rethink our traditional management model: what if we offered our employees real opportunities to contribute to change? What if we didn't present change to them as an inevitability, but rather as a way forward in which they have a key role to play?
